Yes, this is the view from my back porch. What can I say I even like to live like I am on vacation when I am not. This time of year it gets very active around here with tournaments and friends...even a neighborhood beverage cart. There is even a Fourth of July golf cart parade. I can walk the dog each day and get sort of a staycation if I like. If you aren't fortunate enough to be able to walk out your door on a regular basis and hit the links or the trails it is definitely time for a vacation. Now is the time to plan your Fourth of July getaway to Washington DC or New York City. Newport Beach in California is another great choice for the holiday. There are screaming deals to Mexico for that week and all summer for that matter so click the links below for some excellent ideas. Let me know how you do and send pics, I love to post them from happy traveling friends.

Sometimes even I take a vacation from planning vacations, though. Real life stuff takes precedence and I have to regroup and reevaluate what is important in my life. And then, well of course take a vacation. I couldn't stay off my travel quest forever and so with renewed vigor and excitement here are this weeks best travel deals:

And In The End
Graduations, weddings and reunions are in high gear. And lets not forget that Father's Day is June 21. Dad probably needs a trip. My family and I are even taking a mini vacation to be with extended family at the wedding of my nephew next week. It is just far enough from home that a hotel stay is required and we are going to play tourist in Fort Worth, Texas by going the Stock Yards, Joe T Garcia's and the excellent Museums and galleries when festivities are on break. As always loves I am on the look out for great deals and will post as they appear. Remember, life is a journey, stay packed. Ciao for now, Maggie
