Gloria Estefan and her husband have really outdone themselves in this little bit of Cuba/ Miami in Vero Beach, Florida hotel. From the fantastic happy hour by the pool with DJ spinning, to the Nuvo Cubano cuisine, to the luxurious rooms and spa it has it all. It is said Gloria spends lots of her time there as well so her stamp really is on all things. Costa d'Este is located on a fantastic stretch of beach within walking distance to great restaurants, quaint galleries and shops. If you are looking for a stateside beach break this fall or winter I wholeheartedly reccommend you check in and check this one out. Priceline and Travelocity both have

As far as airports, Orlando is about a 2 hour drive and the newly done West Palm airport is about an hour and a half. I have flown into both and find the smaller West Palm worth the slight difference in price because of its size and ease. If you do combine the trip with some time in Orlando I love staying at the Airport Hyatt the night before flying out because that too makes your life pretty hassle free and the property is really great. I had the good fortune of staying over on a Monday night and enjoying football on

the huge big screen tv with appetizers and fans from all over. No rush in the morning to get to my flight as I was already there.

I really enjoyed my time in Vero a couple of weeks ago, so much so that we are probably going back over the Christmas break. It doesn't hurt that we have great family and friends there.
