Austin City Limits Festival 2008If you were with us at this years festival you know that the dust was the downer, but the music was great. It was a different fest for me as Sister Souljah and the Bro were shooting a show pilot for What's Weird About Austin ( more about that in future blogs), so we did not spend our entire time inside the Zilker Park confines. In fact most of my Saturday morning was in Pecan Grove with Boobs the Builder(yes a future post dear ones). I did not even get there until Saturday this year due to a compromise with my awesome spouse. What i did see was great and the Docstress and the group is always fun as is meeting new friends and people watching. Our game this year was celebrity look alike spotting. Actually there were the usual cadre of celebs like Lance Armstrong and of course Bill Murray this year cruising from stage to stage in a golf cart. But the fun ones for us were the Brad Pitt and Adrian Grenier look alikes. Of course, who knew who the people were behind the bandanas like the Frito Bandito trying just to breathe. Thank you Kenneth and Reesie for starting Sunday off in a festive mood with champagne and breakfast together. Thank you Docstress for hanging out at the Foos with me and breaking down the table in the grove. Love you girl. For those that missed it there is always next year or Voodoo Fest next month in New Orleans.

And In the End
It was great to get away this weekend from all the financial news...well almost. WaMu was and has been a big sponsor at the festival. This year as always they were there, just fresh from the news of their bailout and purchase by Chase. Sister Souljah and I even had our pic made in their booth, but when I tried to retrieve it today my code was no good. Guess that is how their customers feel about now. I am off to plan more adventures on the cheap. Since we do not know what the financial markets are doing
