E.T. Do Not Phone Home Unless You Have a PrePaid Plan!

Suite of the Month Sale at Sandals Resorts

Expensive French Lessons
Number one son made it home safely from Europe and so did his unbelievable wireless bill. I warned him at the beginning of February not to use his cell to call Paris and his "friend" not "girlfriend". Evidently I was not clear...the first bill a month ago was over $500 for international long distance and this latest one that came yesterday...over $700. He is taking a second job as a Pizza delivery guy to help pay it off. How long do you think it will take him? He is a College Junior, works at the College Bookstore part time and now delivers Pizza part-time. I am thinking two years. The moral of the story is, if you don't want to have your cell bill run up to incredible heights you have to make sure that international calling capability is disabled. Think about this, you could lose your phone or someone could steel it and in a matter of hours run up major international calls before you realize it, so the best plan is to cut them off at the pass so to speak and call your provider NOW!

Of course if you travel overseas then you may want international calling...but work it into a plan or you will be unhappily surprised.
Personally I think using a service with a Long Distance Dialer and $10 of FREE CALLING. Register 5 phones for PIN-FREE dialing from HOME or CELL. USA-2.9c/m MX-5c/m
is a great plan or Skype ( see my banner below TOM and "friend not girlfriend" and PLEASE click now )if you have your computer handy. CHEAP compared to all other ways...ahem Skype has some FREE plans!
V-Global Dial-Up VoIP long distance without Broadband. Call from your regular Home or Cell Phone. PIN-free. Pay as you go
Ok, I am off my soapbox now and I do hope this info was valuable to you.
